The Garden

I Come To The Garden Alone Hymn

I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses.
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
He speaks, and the sound of His voice,
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing.
I’d stay in the garden with Him
Though the night around me be falling,
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling.

*The above picture was taken at Furman University's Rose Garden in 2008. A very special friend at the time took me and my son. The whole garden was breathtaking but not as breathtaking as the love of Jesus Christ. The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein. Psalm 24:1

Hi Jen,

I remember my mum singing this when I was a little girl. Sadly she passed away in December 2007 but reading these words now I could still here hear singing them.

God Bless

Luanne

Aww I'm so sorry Luanne. (HUGS) For some reason today I was thinking about this hymn and was singing it.
