We are who we are and we stand proud!

Ever wonder when you go to church if when the world ends that who is there will be there in Heaven? So many are lost...the reality of it is that some of those people will never make it. The world tries to shape us in a form that is outside God's law and everyday is a struggle. Trust in Him and He will protect you. We need to be obedient to God and separate ourselves from the world. I was watching a TV show and on this show the question came up "Would you die for your beliefs?" Well my answer is Yes! I will not deny Christ in order to conform to the world's rules. This world has nothing for me. I was seeing a guy in the past and all he talked about was making money...how money would buy freedom..You can save money but money won't save you from hell. I may not be rich but my heart is full of God's love and that is worth more than any man's money. All the money in the world will not buy your way into God's Kingdom. I like nice things but I am not a materialistic person and never will be. The treasures God is saving for me in His kingdom is worth more than anything on this earth. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, never will I deny You! No matter if I stumble or I fall, You are there! Thank you, Jesus! This world has nothing but God has it all!

This little light of mine..

It has become my nighttime ritual to talk with my son about Jesus, read the Bible with him, say our prayers then...me do my Bible study, spend some quiet time with God, and say my prayers. Everyday, the light shines brighter through me and I have Jesus to thank for that. No matter how someone or something tries to bring me down my light shines even brighter! I will continue to let God shine through me no matter what! Amen!

Take me as I am...

As women we all want to look our best and we all as humans want to be accepted for whatever reason. For years, I have tried to be the best I can be to everyone around me, bending over backwards, allowing someone to take me for granted and using me. I wanted to be accepted by others as well as loved but....I realized no matter how I try I fell short on accepting myself and being the best I can be for God. All that matters is that I do as God wants me to do and be the person He wants me to be. My life doesn't need to meet anyone else requirements but God's. I am a child of God and a woman of Faith and proud of it! Psalm 17:8 Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings.

Beautiful day!!

This is my favorite place to be when I need time to think. Love to go there and sit under the tree and just watch the water. On the other side there is a creek so nice and quiet. I am looking forward to taking someone there for a picnic.
It's a nice place to go and think and just talk to God for awhile. No one to bother you. I think everyone should have a place to go to mediate and talk with God. I did a lot of thinking today and of course a lot of praying. I am leaving it in God's hands. He knows what is best for me.

Nice to meet you!!

I have noticed many visitors from all over to visit my blog. Awesome! If you would please introduce yourself and tell me a little about yourself. I love to meet new friends!!!! I am very happy that I have so many to visit!! God bless you all!

Ask and you shall receive...

Till now have you asked nothing in my name: ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full- John 16:24. I John 4:18- There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love. Ever want something but you are afraid. There is something I am going to pray for and if it is God's will for me to have then so be it. I do not ask for much and what I do ask for is usually for someone else. God is awesome and He will never lead me in the wrong direction. I have faith and I trust in Him. Lord, if this is meant to be, then take from my heart, the fear, and let a new beginning flourish into something beautiful. Amen.

For we walk by faith, not by sight- 2 Corinthians 5:7

No matter what the situation, God is always there for us. He will never give us more than we can handle. Always remember that. Have faith and trust in Him. He will provide you what you need. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him -Psalms 2:12. In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success. Proverbs 3:6.

Thursday, April 23, 2009

Since my journey began, my life has taken a new turn. I still stumble as we all do, I am not perfect. My life has changed for the better and I can't thank Jesus Christ enough other than being obedient and follow God's words. I look back on my life and think wow..look where I was. I went through so much and yet I am here. Through the lies and the darkness, Jesus was always there. I am very proud of who I am and who I am becoming. I have learned to put God first and ALWAYS make time for God. In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success. Proverbs 3:6. The Lord will never guide me wrong.

What a beautiful day the Lord has made!

Wow today has been so beautiful. I am off today and tomorrow and I am enjoying it beyond limits. Dana called an in service today and well to our surprise she gave everyone a bag with our names embroidered on it and we enjoyed sugary sweets. The card itself made me cry. I can say this...I LOVE MY BOSS! I thank God everyday for her! I do thank God for Alison too! We are all able to laugh and have fun and still be serious about our profession. I love being a MDS nurse. I have spent much of the day outside and it has been wonderful. Nice to wear halter tops and enjoy the sun. It has been a let the sunroof back kinda day. Thank you, Lord! Zach is outside playing with Bonnie, our boxer. I was planning to spend the weekend at the beach (or in Newberry) but the beach is on fire..yes I said it. A fire broke out and part of the South Carolina coast is on fire. I pray that everyone gets out safe and the fire depts can get it under control. Lord, I don't ask for much but a little rain for those people would be very nice! Amen! I hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed day!!

Get right or get left....

Every time you turn on the news, it's almost always bad news about our economy, crime and so forth. So many people ask, "Well, if there was a God, why is He letting this happen?" or they make comments about not believing in God because of all the things that have happened. This really saddens me. If it weren't for Jesus Christ dying on the cross for us we wouldn't be here. God is good to all of us. It is up to us to be obedient and walk with Him. We have allowed God to be taken out of schools, work, and our government. What is next? Freedom of religion...I respect any one's beliefs for that is what they were brought up in but until they find Jesus they will never know. Jesus fought for us, why not fight for and with Him? My pastor has repeatedly said find one person to share Jesus Christ with. From this day forward, let's share the word of God and touch one person at a time. I know this will make a difference. I found this verse that truly goes along with this post. I pray that our President finds Jesus and make changes that Glorify God and not himself....We will continue to pray for the lost.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD... Psalm 33:12

Friends....

Salvation recipe- the best recipe you will ever find!

I finally was able to sit down and go through a cookbook I purchased. I found something that I would like to share with everyone. The person who put it there said He tried this 6 years ago and hasn't gotten over it. I tried it 2 years ago and its the best I've ever had!!

Salvation Saturation

This is a recipe that almost all ingredients want cost you a dime. However, someone has paid the price for you to receive it. In order to make Salvation Saturation you must find a person who is lost in their sin. Once that is located, the ingredients are as follows:
1 Lost Sinner
1 large Dose of Conviction
1 Gracious God (Provided free of charge)
1 Large Glass of Repentance
1 large Heaping of Godly Sorrow
1 Willing Savior (Provided)
1 Huge Portion of Grace
1 Bloody Cross (Provided by the Savior)
1 New Creature
1 Holy Spirit
Once you have all the ingredients the 1 large dose of conviction will be sent by the Holy Spirit. It will begin to stir in the heart of the lost sinner. 1 large heaping of Godly sorrow will make him see himself the way God sees him. The 1 gracious God has already provided the 1 willing Savior and together the 2 have made the way for large portion of grace and 1 heaping of mercy that was shed on the 1 bloody cross. Once these ingredients have settled in the heart of the 1 lost sinner then the 1 large glass of repentance will be poured into the 1 lost sinner which will produce a beautiful new creature. After new creation is produced- praise God!

Work still in progress....

Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. - 1 Timothy 4:12. This is the scripture I came across during my Bible study. For some reason it stood out to me. This is what I needed to see. It's amazing how God gives you the words you need to hear when you need it. I am still a work in progress. It's hard and it gets harder when you have so much negativity come at you in different directions. Trials and Tribulations maybe? The past week has been very overwhelming dealing with a lot of things. Thanks to all for the advice. I have let go and let God.. As I said in an earlier post...He is in control. No matter how people are it's not my battle. I will continue to do my best to be an example. I will continue to follow Jesus Christ and continue to pray.
Another thing that came into mind during this week is the Serenity Prayer and the Lord's Prayer (Below). I have asked God to give me the courage and strength to follow this each day. I do not know what God has in store for me but I know He has a plan and it's good! God bless you all!

Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
the courage to change the things I can;
and the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory. for ever and ever. Amen

Thank you Lord for the day you made

Even though the morning was a lil rocky the day was wonderful! I cleaned up, spent time on the computer, and went to a few places. Me and Zach went to Memorial Park and was it beautiful. The fountain was in motion and the ducks were eager to greet us even though we didn't take any bread to feed them. The afternoon was spent sitting on the porch in the rocking chair drinking sweet tea. It was a beautiful day to enjoy. Everything is in bloom and is a sight to see. Thank you, Lord! This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. - Psalm 118:24.

The Garden

I Come To The Garden Alone Hymn

I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses.
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
He speaks, and the sound of His voice,
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing.
I’d stay in the garden with Him
Though the night around me be falling,
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling.

*The above picture was taken at Furman University's Rose Garden in 2008. A very special friend at the time took me and my son. The whole garden was breathtaking but not as breathtaking as the love of Jesus Christ. The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof,the world and those who dwell therein. Psalm 24:1

When church becomes about God & not people and when Worship
becomes all about God & not themselves they will be blessed by a
"Just a touch" from Him!
You are AWESOME, LORD!
VAN

A wonderful friend of mine sent me an email and this was included in. This says it all! Good advice Van!

Psalm 23

1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death, [a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.

Jesus has my back

No matter what life brings us we should always remember Jesus has our back. He loves us no matter what. The past few days have been full of questions and prayers along with many tears. It's very hard when something gets under your skin to the point you want to scream. I am trying my best to live the life God wants me to and I don't need someone or anything to come into my life and compromise that not pull me down. I am not perfect nor do I seek perfection but I am a work in progress with Jesus Christ. I am who I am..if you don't like it then that is between you and God cause he made me this way. My last two posts were from my heart and I apologize if they seemed a little blunt. I have put all this into God's hands. He is in control of the things in my life. I will pray for you. Whatever His will...I shall follow.. But...remember this...you can't break me...nor will drag me down.
Psalm 27

1 The LORD is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When evil men advance against me
to devour my flesh, [a]
when my enemies and my foes attack me,
they will stumble and fall.
3 Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then will I be confident.
4 One thing I ask of the LORD,
this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
and to seek him in his temple.
5 For in the day of trouble
he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle
and set me high upon a rock.
6 Then my head will be exalted
above the enemies who surround me;
at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy;
I will sing and make music to the LORD.
7 Hear my voice when I call, O LORD;
be merciful to me and answer me.

8 My heart says of you, "Seek his [b] face!"
Your face, LORD, I will seek.
9 Do not hide your face from me,
do not turn your servant away in anger;
you have been my helper.
Do not reject me or forsake me,
O God my Savior.
10 Though my father and mother forsake me,
the LORD will receive me.
11 Teach me your way, O LORD;
lead me in a straight path
because of my oppressors.
12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes,
for false witnesses rise up against me,
breathing out violence.
13 I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the LORD
in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD.

God is speaking but are you listening?

Everyday is a battle for all of us. When we turn on the news, how much is good news? Throughout the day you hear people talk about all the problems they have. You want to feel sorry for them but then from deep inside you want to ask "Have you prayed about it? Have you asked for help from God?"
A lot of people get so caught up in themselves and the world around them they don't listen when God speaks. You ask for an answer and He gives it to you. I was reading a post of a friend called "The Set Apart Life" which was an awesome post. God wants us to have a set apart life for Him. A life that is separate from the world...being what God wants us to be. As for me, I was never born to fit in - I was born to stand out. I don't want to be like the others. God made me beautiful and he made me in His image. He made all of us in His image. He made me to be a follower for Him and Jesus Christ. The next time you stand in the mirror and you are all into yourself..think! It's not about you...It's about God. Don't be boastful! (read my last post if you need reference). When your pride takes over- really hate to tell you it doesn't make you look pretty! Pride throws up a wall between God and us and rejects His help and guidance I have asked some people why they go to church and not one said for worship or fellowship and sure didn't say to have a relationship with God. Church is not a place to look cute and to have a social status. If that is what you go for then you have it all wrong! Church is about praising God, worshipping and fellowship among other things that are For God. You have heard the saying "take time to smell the flowers" Well..take time to talk with God..get the set apart life for Him. When God speaks..stop your complaining and listen! You got through things for a reason and maybe its God way of saying...HELLO!!! Let go of yourself and the world..and get God. In no way am I saying I am perfect, I have temptations and I have fought them, we all have had our share. I want that set apart life for Christ.

Atittude says it all.....

After getting home from church I encountered a family with the me...me..me syndrome. Not a sentence was said without something about herself or what she has or doing. My pet peeve is people who are prideful. What I mean is I will turn away from someone who is all about themselves in a heartbeat. Being prideful is glorifying yourself...or in some cases seeking glorification of oneself. So you got this and that...If it wasn't for the Lord you wouldn't have it! When you become boastful and prideful you can become obnoxious. Do things that glorify God not yourself! You may not think people can see it but guess what...they can. You don't need to do or say anything to seek attention. Change the attitude and you will see a world of difference. All I can say is get over yourself... and get with God! At this point all I can do is pray for you as well as for myself and others. God bless you all!

"The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not
seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts."
Psalms 10:4, KJV

When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is
wisdom."
Proverbs 11:2, KJV

"In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips
of the wise shall preserve them."
Proverbs 14:3, KJV

"Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit
before a fall. Better it is to be of an humble spirit with
the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud."
Proverbs 16:18-19, KJV

"A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold
the humble in spirit."
Proverbs 29:23, KJV

Happy Easter Everyone!

What a beautiful day the Lord has given us. Me and Zach went to sunrise service this morning..Wow! Beautiful only describes it. God's words flowed from Jesse's mouth as the sun rose bright. After sunrise service, we all gathered in the Life Center for breakfast. My cousin, Travis was able to attend- which was awesome! Sunday school followed and wow! what a turn out! You go Dale, but it's more like you go Jesus! The room was full of sisters in Christ. God is good! All the time! Worship service was just as beautiful! Jesus has risen. He is alive! He died for us. Let today be a day to rise up above all and become close to Jesus Christ. Out of all the friendships we make- the friendship between you and Jesus will go beyond! Let the old you die, and the new you rise and know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. “I am the way the truth and the life; NO MAN cometh unto the Father BUT BY ME.” — Jesus Christ (John 14:6) “Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?” ―Psalm 94:16. Hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed Easter..May God bless you and keep you! Amen!

New Beginnings

A wonderful sister in Christ wrote this and I had to post it. Its' beautifully well put! We have so much we need to be thankful for. I thank her for letting me share it with those who visit my page. God bless you all!!

During my quite time a few days ago...this thought came to my mind. "Why not let Easter be a New Beginning?"

People usually think of New Beginnings when the New Year rolls around. They rush about making a list of what they are going to change and/or what they are going to get rid of, to make a "Better Me" in the new year! Why is January 1st choosen as a start of a new you? Because it starts a new year? Doesn't Easter seem more appropriate? Jesus lived and died as a Human being, obeying His Fathers will to give all those who accepted, a new life through His son.
What better day then Easter to crucify your own flesh, by giving up the "old you" and surrendering your all to the Lord Almighty and starting a new life in Christ as He did for us on Easter?
What an awesome tradition to fast, pray and really dwell deeper into the Word on Good Friday and Saturdaythen arise on Easter morning, A new creation in Christ!!!
God Bless you all

The legend of the Dogwood

The legend of the dogwood tree, author unknown.

When Christ was on earth, the dogwood grew
To a towering size with a lovely hue.
Its branches were strong and interwoven
And for Christ's cross, its timbers were chosen

Being distressed, at the use of this wood
Christ made a promise, which still holds good:

"Not ever again shall the dogwood grow
To be large enough for a tree, and so
Slender and twisted it shall always be
With cross-shaped blossoms for all to see.

The petals shall have bloodstains, marked in brown
And in the blossom's center, a thorny crown.

All who see it, will think of Me,
Nailed to a cross, from a dogwood tree.
Protected and cherished, this tree shall be
A reflection to all, of my agony."

Pine tree Story

Last Spring on a Sunday afternoon we took one of our "nowhere" drives thru the country. My husband was quietly driving along some back roads. I was occupied in the front passenger seat watching out the window as the scenery went by.

I noticed out of the corner of my eye that my husband was straining to look out my window. This startled me, since his eyes should be on the road in front of him. I asked him what he was looking at out the windows, and he quietly replied, "Nothing. " He could have said he was looking for pine tree crosses for Easter. His eyes went back to the road in front of him.

After a few minutes, I looked over at my husband and noticed a tear running down his cheek. I asked him what was wrong. This time he told me, "I was just thinking about Pop and a story he had once told me." Of course, because it had to do with his Pop I wanted to know the story, so I asked him to share Pop's story with me.

He said, "When I was about 8 years old, Pop and I were out fishing and that's when he told me that the pine trees know when it is Easter."

I had no idea what he meant by that, so I pressed him for more information.

He continued on... "The Pine trees start their new growth in the weeks before Easter -- if you look at the tops of the Pine trees two weeks before Easter, you will see the yellow shoots. As the days get closer to Easter Sunday, the tallest shoot will branch off and form pine tree crosses for Easter. By the time Easter Sunday comes around, you will see that most of the Pine trees will have small yellow crosses on all of the tallest pine shoots."

I turned to look out the window and I couldn't believe my eyes. It was a week before Easter, and you could see all of the pine trees with the tall yellow shoots stretching to Heaven.

The tallest ones shone in the sunlight like rows of tiny golden crosses.

This pine tree crosses for Easter story
was written by unknown author.

He is the way, the truth and the light.

"I am the way the truth and the life; NO MAN cometh unto the Father BUT BY ME."
-- Jesus Christ, John 14:6
Jesus Christ died for our sins. Jesus Christ rose from the dead to prove He could give us eternal life. What other man would do this for us? We sometimes take life for granted and we should be very thankful that the son of God gave his life for us to live. As you sit and drink your coffee- Thank Him for giving you this opportunity. As you sit and read this- Thank Jesus Christ for giving you life. No matter what, Jesus will always be here for us. God loves us unconditionally and He always will. If we fall He always by our side....

Happy Palm Sunday!

Happy Palm Sunday! This is the beginning of Holy week! On Palm Sunday Christians celebrate the Triumphal Entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, the week before his death and resurrection. For many Christian churches, Palm Sunday, often referred to as "Passion Sunday," marks the beginning of Holy Week, which concludes on Easter Sunday. The Bible reveals that when Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowds greeted him with waving palm branches, and by covering his path with palm branches. Immediately following this great time of celebration in the ministry of Jesus, he begins his journey to the cross.
The biblical account of Palm Sunday can be found in Matthew 21:1-11; Mark 11:1-11; Luke 19:28-44; and John 12:12-19.
I had a wonderful time at church today. We watched as the Sunday school kids came down the aisle with palm branches and laid them on the altar. This week is going to be busy with church events. I thank the Lord, my savior, that he lead me in the right direction. So many mistakes voided thanks to Jesus Christ. I look back on my life and think Wow! I was about to make too many mistakes with the wrong people. My life is so much better. God is good- all the time! I am very thankful to have positive people in my life. Out with the bad- in with the good. It's amazing how people can try to bring you down with their addictions, wickedness, their me, me, me syndrome and all their issues. I don't have time for foolishness in my life. God has a plan for me and it doesn't include foolishness.
Psalm 58

1Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?

2Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.

3The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.

4Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;

5Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.

6Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.

7Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.

8As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.

9Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.

10The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

11So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.

What a day!

What a day! Besides having company, it was clean up day. So much went to Goodwill and to the dump. It's amazing what you find when you are cleaning (old pics, things your ex gave you, and money). So much goes into keeping up a house but I am thankful. I have so many house projects that I want to do. Went to Charlotte last week to look for a fountain for the patio. Found one but unfortunately it was cracked. My carport is packed with flowers ready to be planted. Weather man is calling for some cold nights and possible frost. Lord, you know what you are doing so I'm not going to complain.It was a beautiful day to be out and about and I did take advantage of it and will take advantage of it tomorrow after church. All I can say...Life is good! God is good- All the time!

Speed Demon

Zach has decided to become a Jr. Dragster! YES!!! I didn't know he was all that interested until he told Jesse he wanted to race. He didnt show too much interest in drag racing when Ben took us to Georgia.
It was exciting and I enjoyed it other than getting sunburned. We will be going to Georgia again this year for April 18th, tickets are in hand and hotel booked. This will probably be the last time we will go there. WE HAVE CONCORD!! Its a lot nicer. http://www.lowesmotorspeedway.com/dragway/ I am ready to go! We also have a local strip to go to in Jefferson. Zach will be able to go there and practice. Upon searching for dragsters....OH MY! I didn't realize they were so expensive (got one already!) and a lot of time goes into it but hey who knows he may be going to NHRA someday....And no he will not be racing my G8...not in this lifetime! The first pic is from April 26, 2009(couldn't post all 77 pics) and the second is something Zach found to get an idea. We are going to have a fun filled summer that's for sure!

Fearless

Psalm 27
Of David.
1 The LORD is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When evil men advance against me
to devour my flesh, [a]
when my enemies and my foes attack me,
they will stumble and fall.
3 Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then will I be confident.
4 One thing I ask of the LORD,
this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
and to seek him in his temple.
5 For in the day of trouble
he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle
and set me high upon a rock.
6 Then my head will be exalted
above the enemies who surround me;
at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy;
I will sing and make music to the LORD.
7 Hear my voice when I call, O LORD;
be merciful to me and answer me.
8 My heart says of you, "Seek his [b] face!"
Your face, LORD, I will seek.
9 Do not hide your face from me,
do not turn your servant away in anger;
you have been my helper.
Do not reject me or forsake me,
O God my Savior.
10 Though my father and mother forsake me,
the LORD will receive me.
11 Teach me your way, O LORD;
lead me in a straight path
because of my oppressors.
12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes,
for false witnesses rise up against me,
breathing out violence.
13 I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the LORD
in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD.

My blessed child

Wow! Thank you Jesus! That is all I can say about my child. I was blessed with a wonderful child. He has decided to stay busy this summer going to Wake Forest, Duke, and Furman, summer camps, art classes, and so many other things I can't keep up with. Geez, where does he get the energy!!!?? Me I guess..I never sit down. Tonight he signed up for Church camp- they will be hiking and camping of course. We plan on doing some road trips too. Going to wear out the G8 before long. He is so excited. I am very proud of him! Del you are right..I am a great mom! You know me well! I do owe all the thanks to Jesus Christ for turning my life around and leading me in a better direction. No time for foolishness! Lord, thank you for giving me the people in my life. Thank you, for all the blessings you give me. Continue to guide Zachary in all he does. You are are an awesome God and you know what is best for us. Show us your will and we shall follow. In Jesus Christ's name, Amen!

Extreme Days

You have heard that it was said, "Love your neighbor and hate your enemy."
But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you (Matthew 5:43-44).

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord. On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head." Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good (Romans 12:17-21).

Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing (1 Peter 3:9).
