A promise is a promise!

No matter how things get and where we go we can always count on God's promise for He never breaks his promise!

What can be said about God's promises to us?

1. He has promised to supply every need we have. The Bible says: "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus". That's Phillipians 4:19. Now notice, God has obligated Himself only to the extent of our needs. That would include food, clothing, shelter, companionship, love, and salvation thru Jesus Christ. It would not include the multiplicity of luxuries that we have come to think of as needs.
2. God has promised that His grace is sufficient for us. (II Corinthians 12:9). in fact, He has made provision for our salvation by His grace through faith. Read Ephesians 2:8. It is through an obedient faith that we have access into the grace of God according to Romans 5:2.
3. God has promised that His children will not be overtaken with temptation. Instead, He assures us that a way of escape will be provided. This promise is recorded in I Corinthians 10:13. Jude wrote: "Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present your faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy" (Jude v 24). Darius, King of the Medes, said to Daniel, "Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee" (Daniel 6:16). He did deliver Daniel from the den of lions.
4. God has promised us victory over death. He first resurrected Jesus by way of assuring our resurrection. Peter said: "This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we are all witnesses" (Acts 2:32). Paul wrote to the Corinthians: "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures" (I Corinthians 15:3,4). Later on he adds: "but thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (I Corinthians 15:57).
5. God has promised that all things work together for good to those who love and serve Him faithfully (Romans 8:28). It may be difficult for us to see and understand how this is accomplished at times, but God has promised it, and He will deliver.
6. God has promised that those who believe in Jesus and are baptized for the forgiveness of sins will be saved. (Read Mark 16:16 and Acts 2:38).
7. God has promised His people eternal life (John 10:27,28). In closing, let me appeal to you to live so that the promises of God will be yours.

A walk to remember....

"My walk on the moon lasted three days and it was a great adventure, but my walk with God lasts forever." Charlie Duke

I came across this website that I want to share with everyone. Enjoy and God bless!

The documentary In the Shadow of the Moon includes the story of Charlie Duke, one of the Apollo 16 astronauts launched to the moon in 1972. While the command ship orbited the moon, Duke and another astronaut landed the lunar module Orion on the moon’s surface. After 3 days of running experiments and collecting lunar rocks, the Apollo 16 crew safely returned to earth.

Later, Charlie had a spiritual transformation. He said it began when his friend invited him to a Bible study. After the meeting, Charlie prayed to Christ, “I give You my life, and if You’re real come into my life.” He then experienced an indescribable peace. It was so profound that he began to share his story with others. Charlie told them, “My walk on the moon lasted 3 days and it was a great adventure, but my walk with God lasts forever.”

The Bible tells us of another man who walked with God. “Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him” (Gen. 5:24). His spiritual walk with God was so close that God took him directly into eternity (see Heb. 11:5).

We can learn a lesson from Charlie and Enoch. For believers, no matter where our journey leads, our walk with God will last for eternity! — Dennis Fisher

Let me walk with You, dear Savior,
Side by side and hand in hand;
Keep me clean and pure and faithful
Till I reach the heavenly land. —Hess

Keep eternity’s goal in sight by walking daily in God’s light.

Clean up and clean out!

A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away~Ecclesiastes 3:6

We tend to pick up "clutter" along our journey in life and sometimes it can weigh us down to the point we can't move. We let anger take over us..jealously engulf us and so much more. I was thinking last night that everybody needs to let go and let God take control. Live life and not let life live us. Life is too short to be weighed down by the "clutter" we pick up along the way. Let it go...if you feel something or someone is weighing you down...it's time to clean house. Maybe it's time for some early spring cleaning. below is a favorite for me and hopefully will be of good use to everyone who reads it. God bless!

If you are holding on to something that doesn't belong to you and was never intended for your life, then you need to......
LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to past hurts and pains ......
LET IT GO!!!
If someone can't treat you right, love you back, and see your worth .....
LET IT GO!!!
If someone has angered you
LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge......
LET IT GO!!!
If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction......
LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs or talents
LET IT GO!!!
If you have a bad attitude .......
LET IT GO!!!
If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better......
LET IT GO!!!
If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship.......
LET IT GO!!!
If you keep trying to help someone who won't even try to help themselves......
LET IT GO!!!
If you're feeling depressed and stressed
LET IT GO!!!
If there is a particular situation that you are so used to handling yourself and God is saying "take your hands off of it," then you need to......
LET IT GO!!!
Get Right or Get Left. Think about it, and then
LET IT GO!!!
The battle is the Lord's not yours! Pray and let it go....

Test Drive: Jesus take the wheel

Why me Lord!? Does that sound familiar? When things happen we always want to know why it happens to us. Is it a test from God? God's tests are different than the temptations and trials of the devil. God's test is whether we act on His Word, trusting Him. Learning and growth involves testing. Sometimes a test can be pretty frustrating; its then we turn to God to ask Him for help. We should grow stronger in faith as we pass each test. The test does not make us strong, but God's Word makes us strong as we use it to overcome the test.

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. ~James 1:12

"These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It
is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold, and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world." ~1 Peter 1:7

SHINE! Make them wonder what you got!

All over the world people are being persecuted for being Christians and its sad that it even happens in our own back yard. Christians get made fun of, talked about, abused and so forth. Unfortunately, this problem will always go on but.... hate to say this but DADDY DON'T LIKE UGLY! What you say or do to us you will have to answer to God. Remember that! We are His children and He will take care of us because our name is written in the Book of Life and we have a place in Heaven. Talk about us...make fun of us, do whatever you want...you think we go to extreme wait til Judgment Day and you face our Father. The Lord is my Light and my Salvation..whom shall I fear? We are passionate for what we believe in and we love God. You nor the devil will ever change that. I have lost many so called friends because I became a Christian but I have gained so many REAL TRUE friends! So I maybe I am EXTREME but I do it all for the glory of God! So Christians all over...Be Proud to stand up and say I am a Christian and I love God! Don't be afraid of the person God wants you to be. Be in the light for He is in the light. People can take what they want from you but they can't take away the love of God in your heart. Be proud, Stand up.. Shine! Be the the Light in this dark world. Don't be afraid! God's got your back! God loves you and wants you to be part of the Kingdom of Heaven. I pray for all those that are on the outside looking in. Give it to God and you can have it all, a eternal life in Heaven rather than an eternity in hell. What's your choice? God bless you!

New Year....New Beginnings

The spirit of the Lord God..has sent me to bring good news...to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor. ~Isaiah 61:1-2

2009 is gone..welcome 2010! I look back at 2009 and I must say it had it's ups and downs but it ended beautifully! God has been good to me even through the trying times. I have grown a lot in this year and look forward to growing even more this year. I made new friends and reconnected with some old friends, even reconnected with an old flame after 13 years!
Things are going to be different this year. Me and my son will be on our own. With my grandfather needing more care my parents are moving in with him and we are staying at their house. So much to look forward to! I know God will be there every step of the way. So far the rekindled love is going great. It's amazing after 13 years the love is still strong. So memories and so many plans.
I have been filling out papers to go back to school to get my RN and I am officially registered! This has been in the works for a while now but finally I have made a move!
I look forward to growing more in the light of God this year. Lately, I have missed Sunday morning services because I am at the hospital. I know God understands but I feel like I am being slack. I haven't been doing my Bible study like I was and I feel its catching up to me. My boyfriend has been joining me and Zach on Sundays nights. I know he will be a great part in my life and especially my walk with God.
I use to make New Year Resolutions but we all know they don't work. We keep some while the others fall through the crack. I think it's so much better when you put it all in God's hands and let Him take care of it. So whatever you have; give it to Him. God will take care of everything! I hope everyone has a wonderful new year and may God pour His blessings out to you all!

Merry Late Christmas ya'll!!

Sorry guys! I was so busy with things that I didnt post anything. I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I had a awesome Christmas. I spent it with dear friends and family. Zachary got all he wanted this year. I have been staying at the hospital with my grandfather on the weekends to give my dad relief. Boy! It is becoming very tiring BUT!!! Yesterday, my grandfather rededicated his life to Jesus Christ. That was such a beautiful moment! That was the best gift of all!
A new year is approaching and fast! So many things to look forward to and so many things to get done. I pray everyone has a wonderful, healthy and sucessful new year! Always remember..Put God first and the rest will fall into place! God bless!

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. ~Matthew 6:33
