DHEC!!!! That is all I have to say about that.

Well DHEC scooted in this morning and of course has got us in a tizzy. I think we should be ready everyday. Our dept has shaped up a lot in the last 6 months preparing. Things we didnt think of careplanning we have and more. So far they have found silly lil things...which is a good thing. They will be here until Wednesday. I will keep you all informed. Wish us luck and pray for us!!!

You can catch more flies with honey than vinegar

I was sitting here thinking about some past conversations with someone. They had asked, "Why can't I be someone who is wealthy and have it all...I do good for people I meet and I get nothing in return." Well honey here is the thing..do good to glorify God not to glorify yourself. I posted a blog last month (pride and confidence). It talks about the difference between pride and confidence. Pride is something that glorfies you and Confidence is something that glorifies God. A lot of people do nice things and give to charities and expect their life to be wonderful. It doesn't work that way. When you do something, do it from the heart not for popularity reasons. Do something that glorifies God and something that pleases him. Its always good to do good things but do it for the right reasons. God knows your intentions and he always will. Give your heart, soul, and mind to the Lord and do good and you will be rewarded.

Anyway...

I love this poem. It makes you think about how we react to situations. So if someone has wronged you in anyway..let it go and let God. Forgive them and forgive yourself. Its not between you and them; in the end it's between them and God. Remember, you still must love your enemies.

Anyway.....

High Maintenance

High maintenance? ...Nah....High standards....YES! I come to realize I sell myself short. I tend to settle for less. Well, not anymore! I am a woman of faith and a child of God and He wants me to have the best and to be my best. No one deserves to be mistreated or used. I have been hurt so many times that I have built a brick wall around me. I shouldn't. I need to be more wiser and with the help of God to choose who comes in my life. I don't need a whiney man, abuse, and so forth.
Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies...Proverbs 31:10
I am worth more than rubies. No more wasting my time on what isnt going to be. I look for my knight in shining armor and end up with a loser in aluminum foil..no more. I look for a Godly man. Someone who has a strong faith in Christ. So...no when I refuse to go out with a guy I'm not being a snob or high maintenance. I am a daughter of a King, The Lord and I have high standards! Amen!

You raise me up...

I saw this on a friend's myspace and thought wow this is soo true. God wants us to have the best and he wants us to be our best. Trust in Him and He will take care of you. When I gave my life to the Lord- I realized I am in better hands now. My life has turned around so much. I have awesome friends in my life that lift me up and not drag me down. I had to let go of most of my old friends. I remember saying these words to someone..you become who you hang out with...and you do...hang with the devil and you become one of his. Choose your company wisely! I am a child of God and a woman of faith. Thank you, God! I had someone to tell me their problems and said to them..Pray. They replied, " I pray everynight" Pray for what God wants not what you want. Ask for strength. Ask for faith. Open your heart to the Lord and He will open your eyes.

A work in progress.....

Today marked a new chapter in my life. I was Baptized today at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church by Pastor Jessie Adams. It was a beautiful day. We had 8 people dressed in white robes to be Baptized. Beautiful! Jessie said something so nice about everyone before being "dunked" I could not help but to cry. So many witnessed along with my family and friends of this special moment in my life. God is good! All the time! Without Him I am nothing. The first thing my son, Zachary said to me afterwards was " Momma I love you! You are the best mom in the world!". I am so blessed to have a son like him. Thank you, God! I am also blessed to have such wonderful friends and family. Of course I am blessed to have those who thought about me today that couldnt be there. I love you all!!! I am a work in progress. I walk in the light of God and I choose no other path.
This is what I learned today in Sunday school: 1 Thess. 5:16-22
16) Rejoice always!
17) Pray constantly
18) Give thanks in everything, for this God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
19) Don't stifle the Spirit
20) Don't despise prophecies
21) but test all things, Hold on to what is good.
22) Stay away from every form of evil.
I have found since I have God in my soul things are looking a lot better for me. This doesnt mean I will never have trials and tribulations but God is there to help me. If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it. My eyes have become open to you, Lord. You are the only way. I thank you, Lord for all the things you have given me and all the things to come. To God be the Glory, Honor, and Praise! Amen! Today in memory of my lost child, I wore a silver charm bracelet with an angel on it which was given to me by the baby's father. Someday I will see you my child and I will hold you in my arms. My dear friend Lynn gave me the book "The Secret". I cannot wait to start reading it tonight. I love the candle- it has my name on it and it says Jennifer- hides her feelings towards others; builds relationships that last. I hope our friendship continues to grow!! Thank you for all the gifts!!! Love you!! And ummmm Anthony...no I didnt think about you in a leopard print thong riding a pony as I was under water....LOL
